Recently I’ve been visiting many colleges for the Campus Interview purpose for my organization. At that time, I was astounded by the virtues through which the students want to get recruitment. Nowadays, jobs are in less amount, whereas the candidates are in abundance.

Hence, it becomes utmost necessary for the candidates to develop better skills in them in order to become a better choice for any organization of repute. In spite of the fact that this thing doesn’t totally rely on them, even the universities need to play a noteworthy part in order to build up a superior workforce.

Comprehensive Development Classroom – A tool for skill development

CDC (Comprehensive Development Classroom) is one such tool that can provide effective results in developing a better workforce. But, the students are more into developing the technical skills. Whereas, recruiters are checking the soft skills as well as communication skills for giving the job. Because the requirement of technical skills differs from organization to organization. Therefore, the students just need to have a basic knowledge of the technical part.

Even many colleges fail to provide such infrastructure in the curriculum to the students. Perhaps, this is the reason why unemployment is becoming a major issue! There isn’t a scarcity of jobs though. But in actual, there is a lack of skilled workforce. And as many organizations are not getting the skilled workforce, they aren’t increasing their organization structure. Otherwise, who doesn’t loves to progress and extend their business?

Which skills the do candidates need to focus on?

  1. The prime thing which the candidates need to focus on is their verbal and writing skills. English is a vital dialect one must concentrate on. But, many of the candidates communicate in a wrong way. It would be a better idea if they communicate in their own mother tongue instead of speaking in wrong English! At least, it will influence the recruiters to comprehend what he really wishes to pass on. Instead of speaking in English and expanding the perplexities.
  2. Next, it comes to the soft skills. The students are learning about the Microsoft Office Products since they were in school. Yet many university students and even few corporate employees neglect to ace it. Nowadays, when documentation is an important phenomenon of a job role, it is utmost essential to be well conversant with the MS Products. It is additionally important to be great in writing. A report topped off with spelling botches is very irritating to peruse!
  3. Although, they might also be aware of their career wishes and aim. Organizations generally prefer to recruit a candidate who is clear about his objective and goal of life. Who might want to recruit a befuddled competitor in any case?
  4. Before going for the interview, the candidates must accumulate proper learning about the Job Description as well as the organization. This will turn out to be a considerable measure supportive to them while they are going for the interview.

Sometimes, the superiors try to be strict with their peers. Well, the strictness ruins the situation to a greater extent. It prevents the candidates from expressing themselves. This reduces their creativity, along with their interest in the job. Thus, YOU SHOULDN’T BE STRICT WITH YOUR TRAINEES!

Understand them

Being their trainer, it is utmost necessary for you to understand them. With the experience that you are having, it might be easier for you to understand what exactly is going through in their mind. Therefore, you must be able to satisfy their curiosity to know about the things you’re teaching to them.

Let them explore themselves

Allowing the candidates to explore themselves increases their creativity. It also makes them more responsible and aware of the platform, framework, organization for which they are working. Hence, setting them free for some time is surely a good idea to follow.
